Cuban Moments

I have visited Cuba twice. During my second visit in 2004, I spent few days in Habana and also in Trinidad....I was touched by the light in Cuba, the colours. The country is very poor but there is something magical that is hard to describe in this country. A world from the past that seems to have been frozen in time...a population which sometimes struggles for survival but has kept a certain pride and joy of living...a mix of races like nowhere else in the World...communities at peace with no racism...Certainly not a dream country to live in but certainly a country you can fall in love with....I started photographing in Cuba at the time I was a less experienced photographer. I am hoping to return there soon for a longer stay to get closer to the population and better capture their hearts and spirit.
